Little Cain will produce all black puppies when mated to a yellow dog; he has two copies of the dominant "E" gene (one from each parent) which will "cancel out" the mutated "e" gene passed on from a yellow mate. Likewise, he will never produce a yellow puppy with a chocolate mate. Mated with our Dreama, the litter will be all black; mating with Kona will produce an all chocolate litter. This is a good thing as he will not produce any yellow dogs with pigment that is chocolate (fault) or pink (disqualification).
