Little Cain will never produce an "affected" puppy even if mated to a dog with a mutated copy of the gene for EIC. Mating "clear" to "clear" produces a litter that is "cleared by parentage"; mating "clear" to a "carrier" produces a litter of puppies in which some will be "clear" and some will be "carriers" but no puppy will develop the disease. Unless both parents are tested "clear", any puppy who is kept by a breeder would need to be tested for "clear" or "carrier" status. A Dreama x Little Cain litter will be "clear by parentage" for EIC. (Kona has not yet been tested for EIC, but even if a "carrier", no puppy from a breeding with Little Cain would produce an "affected" litter.)
