Little Cain will never produce an "affected" puppy even if mated to a dog with a mutated copy of the gene for CNM. Mating "clear" to "clear" produces a litter that is "cleared by parentage"; mating "clear" to a "carrier" produces a litter of puppies in which some will be "clear" and some will be "carriers" but no puppy will develop the disease. Unless both parents are tested "clear", any puppy who is kept by a breeder would need to be tested for "clear" or "carrier" status.
